Special Education

Special Education is a specially designed instruction to meet the unique needs of child with Disability. Special education may include speech, language, pathology services, Occupational therapy, Physical therapy and Vocational Educations.

This process involves individually planned and systematically monitored arrangements of teaching procedures, adapted equipment and materials and accessible settings. These interventions are designed to help learners with special needs achieve a higher level of personal self sufficiency and success in school and their community, than may be available if the student were only given access to a typical classroom education.

At SPARKS Vidyalaya our curriculum objectives are to:

  • Value every young person
  • Identify and provide for the educational needs of each student, so that each may develop to the highest possible standard within his or her own abilities
  • Foster all-round development through a balanced waking-day experience
  • Develop a sense of self-respect and the ability to live as confident, self-motivated adults
  • Encourage the development of the skills necessary to cope with everyday problems together with the ability to co-operate with others and to contribute to their own well-being
  • Help young people to acquire knowledge and skills relevant to adult life and to access the Community successfully
  • Foster awareness of religious and moral values including those of other races, religions and ways of life.
